What Is the Sporefall Raid

Sporefall is a single-boss raid added to WoW Midnight in Patch 12.0.7, set in Harandar next to the Grudge Pit. The whole instance is one encounter against Rotmire, a fungal giant built around add waves, interrupt calls, and burst cleanup windows, which makes a full clear closer to one focused session than a multi-boss raid night. All four difficulties opened on day one, and Sporefall is also the first raid to test Mythic Flex, scaling the Mythic encounter for 15 to 25 players instead of the fixed 20-player roster.

Sporefused Gear: How Heroic Loot Works

Every item Rotmire drops is Sporefused: it arrives at the top item level for its difficulty and has no upgrade track, so Heroic loot lands at item level 285 with no crest spending required. No. Unlike Midnight's main Season 1 raids, Sporefall has no Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge achievement. Defeating Rotmire on Heroic grants the Heroic: Rotmire achievement instead, and it stays on your record permanently.

Does Rotmire drop weapons or tier set pieces?

No. The loot pool is compact by design: armor pieces for every armor type, a neck, a ring, and a trinket, all Sporefused. Weapons and tier set pieces come from Midnight's other raids and endgame sources.

Can I clear Sporefall on more than one difficulty in the same week?

Yes. Each difficulty has its own weekly lockout, so you can get one Rotmire kill on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic in the same reset, each with its own loot eligibility.

Do I need a high item level to join the Heroic run?
