The Four Achievement Categories in Marvel Rivals

Achievements are grouped into four categories, each with its own point track and its own reward tiers. Galacta's Guide covers basic system tasks - exploring menus, reading character pages, small first-time actions - and is the easiest to finish. Rivalry Rising is match-based long-term progression, like winning a set number of matches or reaching a ranked tier. Heroic Journey is the demanding one: hero-specific tasks with two achievements for every character in the game, so completing it means performing on heroes far outside your usual pool. Chronoverse Saga is map-specific, built around winning on particular maps and interacting with story objects scattered across them. Heroic Journey and Chronoverse Saga are where most players get stuck, which is exactly what a boost is for.

Rewards and Why Achievements Are Worth It

Each category awards Achievement Points as you complete its tasks, and hitting point milestones unlocks the rewards: Chrono Tokens for the Battle Pass, Units for the store, cosmetics, Gallery Cards, and the category's exclusive title. Points are counted per category and do not carry across, so each track has to be worked on its own. The big advantage over seasonal challenges is permanence - achievements and their rewards never reset, so anything cleared is locked to your account for good. That makes an achievements boost an investment in lasting account value rather than a race against a season clock, though the one-time Chrono Token rewards are a welcome bonus toward the current pass.
