Base level is its own progression track, separate from your character. It rises only by completing Base Missions - the checklist inside your Palbox that asks you to build specific structures, assign Pals to work, and produce items. Early stages are quick, but the later chain demands large builds, steady material supply, and a base that actually runs, which is why the last stretch to the cap takes far longer than most players expect. There is no shortcut through XP or combat - the missions are the only way up, and clearing them one by one is exactly the work this boost takes off your hands.

Why Base Level Matters

Everything you automate in Palworld runs on base capacity. A higher base level means more Pals working at once - more mining, logging, farming, breeding, and crafting happening without you - and unlocked slots let you split operations into specialized bases: an ore base parked on rich nodes, a breeding base, a food farm. That split is the endgame meta, because one base can never fit every production line it needs. A maxed Palbox is what turns a campsite into a supply chain that feeds your whole progression.

Bases After the 1.0 Launch

The 1.0 release (July 10, 2026) made a developed base matter more than ever. Water-based building opens coastal and lake bases with new foundations and furniture, base raids were reworked into wave-based attacks - with defense structures that no longer consume ammunition and a visiting Negotiator who can cancel an incoming raid - and Work Suitability now spans 10 levels, so well-trained Pals contribute more at every station. Whether you are upgrading a long-running world or rebuilding on a fresh 1.0 save, base level is the foundation the new systems stand on.
