Paloxite Ore is Palworld 1.0's rarest mining resource, and it spawns in exactly one place: the endgame World Tree region. It refines into Paloxite Ingots, the metal backbone of the game's strongest gear - the top four energy weapons, their ammo, and the Ancient Sphere. The catch that stops most players cold: every Paloxite node vanishes the instant you approach unless you carry a Rainbow passive or Holy Water. This guide covers the fix, the best farm spots, surviving the toxic gas, and the full Paloxite Ingot recipe.
Paloxite is the mirror of Soralite - where Soralite is the Sunreach mid-tier, Paloxite is the World Tree endgame. You need both to craft the top gear, so this is the last ore on your progression path.

What Paloxite Is For
Paloxite Ingots are the primary material for the best endgame gear in the game - the four top-tier weapons that outclass everything in the Soralite tier:
Item | Type | Paloxite role |
|---|---|---|
Beam Scatter | Weapon (energy) | Paloxite Ingot (primary) |
Drone Launcher | Weapon (autonomous) | Paloxite Ingot + World Tree Holy Water |
Plasma Rifle | Weapon (energy) | Paloxite Ingot (primary) |
Beam Launcher | Weapon (top-tier, Lv78) | Paloxite Ingot + 10 AI Core, 10 Ancient Civ Core |
Endgame ammunition | Ammo | Paloxite Ingot |
Ancient Sphere | Top capture sphere | Paloxite Ingot |
This is the accuracy point some guides miss: the four top weapons are Paloxite-primary, not Soralite. For the full weapon breakdown and costs, see our new weapons guide.
Getting Into the World Tree
Paloxite lives behind the World Tree barrier, which is the deepest gate in the game. You must first clear every Tower Boss across Palpagos, Feybreak, and Sunreach, then complete the World Tree questline (the Echoing Flute, the whale-bone Echobones, and the Panthalus catch) before the region opens. Our World Tree guide walks the entire unlock step by step, so clear that first - there is no Paloxite farming without it.
The Vanishing Node Problem
Inside the World Tree, purple Paloxite nodes and glowing Mythical Wood trees are everywhere - but try to harvest either unprepared and they vanish before you touch them. There are two fixes, and only one is convenient long-term:
Method | How it works | Downside |
|---|---|---|
Rainbow passive Pal | Keep a Pal with a World Tree (Rainbow) passive in your party; its aura keeps nodes intact permanently | Passives are RNG-gated |
World Tree Holy Water | Apply a vial before harvesting; from Teafant Springs (about 10 per visit) or Pal drops in the zone | Finite, and also needed for crafting |
The Rainbow passive is the smart play: these World Tree (Legendary) passives share the line "World Tree resources will not vanish when approached," and one active on a party Pal keeps every node intact without burning a finite resource. Holy Water works too, but you also need it for crafting, so leaning on the passive saves your vials for the furnace.
Getting a Rainbow Passive Pal
The passive is your real key to the region, and there are three routes to one:
- Hatch an Ominous Egg - these eggs are exclusive to the World Tree and can hatch a Pal already carrying a Rainbow passive. The reliable route, though still RNG on which passive.
- Catch Pals in the zone - some World Tree Pals already roll the passive, so a lucky catch skips the egg hatch entirely.
- Use an implant - there is an implant specifically for the God of Destruction passive, letting you buy your way past the RNG rather than farming eggs.
Once you have one, breed it onto a dedicated farming Pal so every World Tree run is productive - our breeding guide covers passing passives down a line.
Surviving the Toxic Gas
Parts of the World Tree, including the richest node clusters, vent poisonous gas that steadily drains your health. Two ways to shrug it off: bring the Pal Dandy Lord, whose partner effect grants poison immunity and nullifies the gas entirely, or equip a Gas Mask helmet if you would rather not gamble on catching a specific Pal. Without either, plan to farm fast and leave before the gas wears you down - the central cluster is the best haul but the most dangerous, so gear up before committing to it.
Top Paloxite Farm Spots
Nodes spawn in clusters of roughly three, scattered across a handful of hotspots. The ones worth marking:
Spot | What it offers | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Central gas zone | The richest node cluster in the region | Toxic gas drains health - bring immunity (below) |
Ominous Egg spot 1 | An ore cluster that doubles as an egg location | Worth a permanent map marker |
Ominous Egg spot 2 | Second egg location with nearby ore | Hatch eggs here for Rainbow passives |
Whale-bone perimeter | Clusters scattered where you grabbed the quest items | Convenient early loop |
Outer ring nodes | Lower yield but no gas exposure | The safe option for a quick top-up |
Nodes and trees respawn, so mark your favorite clusters and rotate through them rather than waiting on one to refresh. The Plasma Multicutter (unlocked at Level 54) speeds up harvesting both ore and trees considerably, and Ancient Relics from World Tree expeditions can be recycled into World Tree materials for a passive top-up once the final boss is down.
Crafting Paloxite Ingots
Paloxite Ore is useless raw - you smelt it into Paloxite Ingots at the Ancient Furnace, which unlocks at Technology Level 74. The recipe per ingot:
- 2 Paloxite - mined in the World Tree (this guide).
- 1 Soralite - from Sunreach, via our Soralite Ore guide.
- 1 World Tree Holy Water - the same Holy Water you use to harvest nodes.
So the "one ore" trip is really a two-island scavenger hunt: Paloxite and Holy Water from the World Tree, Soralite from Sunreach. Keep the Ancient Furnace powered with a Kindling Pal assigned and, once your farming loop is set, Paloxite comes in stacks of hundreds per run, making bulk ingot production straightforward.
Paloxite Tips and Common Mistakes
- Never enter without a Rainbow passive or Holy Water. Every node despawns on approach otherwise, wasting the whole trip.
- Lean on the passive, save Holy Water for crafting. Each ingot needs Holy Water, so do not waste vials just to harvest.
- Bring gas immunity. Dandy Lord or a Gas Mask lets you farm the rich central cluster instead of fleeing it.
- Do not try to build a base there. Construction is blocked inside the World Tree - farm and leave.
- Stock Soralite in advance. The ingot needs it, so grab Soralite on Sunreach before your Paloxite run to avoid a second trip.
- Use the Plasma Multicutter. At Level 54 it speeds harvesting enough to cut your farm time noticeably.

FAQ
Where do you farm Paloxite Ore in Palworld 1.0?
Only in the World Tree endgame region - it does not spawn anywhere else. You must clear every Tower Boss and complete the World Tree questline to unlock the area, then farm the purple node clusters inside, which spawn in groups of roughly three across several hotspots.
Why does Paloxite Ore disappear when I mine it?
World Tree nodes despawn on approach unless you carry a Pal with a Rainbow (World Tree) passive, or apply World Tree Holy Water before harvesting. The passive is the better long-term fix since it keeps nodes intact permanently without consuming a finite resource.
How do you get a Rainbow passive Pal?
Three ways: hatch an Ominous Egg found only in the World Tree (the reliable route), catch a Pal in the zone that already rolled the passive, or use the implant for the God of Destruction passive to skip the RNG. Breed the passive onto a farming Pal to make every run productive.
How do you survive the poison gas in the World Tree?
Bring the Pal Dandy Lord, whose effect grants poison immunity and nullifies the toxic gas, or equip a Gas Mask helmet. Without either, the gas steadily drains your health, so you would have to farm fast and leave - and the richest node cluster sits in the gas zone.
What is the Paloxite Ingot recipe?
Each Paloxite Ingot takes 2 Paloxite, 1 Soralite, and 1 World Tree Holy Water, smelted at the Ancient Furnace once you reach Technology Level 74. Since Soralite comes from Sunreach and Paloxite from the World Tree, the recipe spans both new regions.
What do you craft with Paloxite Ingots?
The game's strongest gear: the four top-tier energy weapons (Beam Scatter, Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Beam Launcher), their endgame ammunition, and the Ancient Sphere. Paloxite is the primary material for these, which is why it sits at the very end of the progression.
