Palworld Soralite Ore (1.0): Farm Spots, Mining Pals & Uses

By Published ~6 min

The complete Soralite Ore guide for Palworld 1.0: where it spawns in Sunreach, the three ways to gather it, the best mining Pals and the stat you need, the Soralite Quarry automation, and every Soralite Ingot crafting use across weapons and Ancient gear.

Soralite Ore is Palworld 1.0's new mid-tier mineral, and it spawns in exactly one place: Sunreach, the floating sky islands. It refines into Soralite Ingots at the Ancient Furnace, which the Technology tree demands for nearly every new weapon and the Ancient armor set - so without Soralite, the whole 1.0 arsenal stays locked. You gather it three ways in Sunreach (mining nodes, treasure boxes, and Pal drops), and can automate it entirely once you unlock the Soralite Quarry.

This guide covers where the best clusters are, the three gathering methods, which mining Pals actually break the nodes, the level you need, the Quarry automation, and every single thing Soralite Ingots build.

What does it build?
Most new 1.0 weapons, Ancient armor, and Paloxite Ingots

What Soralite Is For

Soralite Ingots gate the bulk of the 1.0 arsenal. They are the primary material for the mid-tier weapons and feed into the Ancient armor set and even the endgame Paloxite Ingot:

Item
Type
Soralite role
Mechanical Bow
Weapon (bow)
Soralite Ingot
Combat SMG
Weapon (firearm)
Soralite Ingot + Carbon Fiber, Cryogenic Coolant, AI Core
Prototype Shotgun
Weapon (firearm)
Soralite Ingot + Thermal Core, AI Core
Heavy Assault Rifle
Weapon (firearm)
Soralite Ingot + Carbon Fiber, Bio Battery, AI Core
Tactical Grenade Launcher
Weapon (explosive)
Soralite Ingot + advanced materials
Laser Sword
Weapon (melee energy)
Soralite Ingot + AI Core
Enhanced Lily's Spear
Weapon (melee)
30 Soralite Ingot + Paldium, HQ Cloth, HQ Wooden Board
Ancient Series armor
Armor set
Soralite Ingot + Thermal Cores
Paloxite Ingot
Endgame ingot
1 Soralite + 2 Paloxite + 1 Holy Water

One accuracy note: the four top-tier energy weapons (Beam Scatter, Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Beam Launcher) use Paloxite Ingot as their primary material, not Soralite - though Soralite still feeds their Paloxite Ingots one step down the chain. Where to Farm Soralite in Sunreach

Every Soralite node sits on the Sunreach floating islands, reached through the Feybreak Tower portal - our Sunreach guide covers the unlock. Once there, tag a fast-travel point and work the dense clusters. The five worth your time:

Cluster
Nodes
Best for
Home Island Cluster
~6 nodes, packed tight
Ideal for a small base with two dedicated miners parked on top
Open Plateau Cluster
5 nodes plus loose ones nearby
Larger area; one base will not cover it all
High Summit Cluster
5 nodes on a very tall island
Baseable in theory, awkward in practice
Rounded Cliffside Cluster
6 nodes in a neat circle
The prettiest build spot; dense enough to be worth it
Secluded Cliff Cluster
5 nodes with more scattered further out
Good satellite base if your guild-chest network covers it

The rule of thumb: pick the densest six-node cluster, not the scenic five-node one, because node clusters here are bigger than a single base footprint and you want maximum yield per base.

The Three Ways to Gather Soralite

Mining nodes is the obvious method, but it is not the only one - Sunreach hands out Soralite three ways:

  • Mining nodes - the Soralite ore deposits across the islands, the steady bulk source. Requires a mining-capable Pal (below).
  • Treasure boxes - the chests scattered around Sunreach frequently contain Soralite, so sweep them while you explore.
  • Pal drops - some Sunreach Pals drop Soralite when defeated or captured, turning your capture-bonus farming into ore income at the same time.

Because you only need a small amount of Soralite per Ingot, combining a mining run with chest-sweeping and Pal-catching fills your stockpile faster than grinding nodes alone.

Best Mining Pals and the Stat You Need

There is a hard filter on these nodes: a Pal with a Mining stat below roughly 5-6 cannot damage Soralite at all, so your cute low-level worker will just bounce off. Since 1.0 raised work suitability to level 10, a freshly caught Pal with a decent base stat is viable, just slower than a specialist. The picks:

Pal
Mining fit
Notes
Anubis
Excellent
Fast, high mining output - the obvious pick and a strong fighter too
Astegon
Good
Reliable workhorse that gets the job done
Nokk
Good
Solid backup miner to round out a crew

Weapons technically chip the nodes, but the damage is so low it is not worth it - a proper mining Pal like Anubis is many times faster. Breed a stable of high-mining workers to run a base hands-free; our breeding guide covers building the crew.

Automating It: The Soralite Quarry

Once manual flying-and-mining wears thin, the Soralite Quarry automates the whole process. It sits in the Ancient Technology branch of the tech tree and unlocks at character Level 72 for Technology Points. Place it, assign a mining-capable Pal, and it produces Soralite without you flying to nodes - the Quarry does not swing the pickaxe itself, so it still needs a worker. It is the endgame answer to Soralite scarcity: build one on a Sunreach base and your Ingot supply runs itself.

Setting Up a Sunreach Mining Base

A working Soralite base needs very little. Drop a Palbox on or beside a dense cluster to claim the radius, add beds and a feeding box so your miners keep working instead of starving, and place a guild chest so the ore syncs to wherever you actually live. Assign two or three high-mining Pals and walk away. Two tips that matter: pick the densest cluster since clusters outsize a single base footprint, and lay foundations to smooth the terrain so your Pals do not get stuck on the sky islands' uneven ground. For choosing the spot, our best base locations guide lists Sunreach coordinates.

Soralite Tips and Common Mistakes

  • Do not fly the mainland looking for Soralite. It only spawns in Sunreach - clear the Feybreak Tower and take the portal first.
  • Bring a real mining Pal. Anything under Mining 5-6 bounces off the nodes; leave the low-level workers at home.
  • Sweep chests and catch Pals while you mine. Treasure boxes and Pal drops stack Soralite on top of your node haul.
  • Pick density over scenery. A tight six-node cluster out-yields a pretty five-node one every time.
  • Automate at 72. The Soralite Quarry ends the manual grind, so prioritize it once you can build it.
  • Do not over-mine. You need only a little Soralite per Ingot, so a modest stockpile covers a lot of crafting - farm to your gear goals, not endlessly.

FAQ

Where do you farm Soralite Ore in Palworld 1.0?

Only in Sunreach, the floating sky islands - it does not spawn anywhere on the original map. Reach Sunreach through the Feybreak Tower portal, then gather Soralite three ways: mining the ore nodes, opening treasure boxes, and defeating or capturing Pals that drop it.

What mining Pal do you need for Soralite?

A Pal with a Mining stat of roughly 5-6 or higher - anything lower simply bounces off the nodes. Anubis is the standout for speed, with Astegon and Nokk as solid picks. Since 1.0 raised work suitability to level 10, a freshly caught Pal with a decent base stat also works, just more slowly.

Can you mine Soralite with weapons?

Technically yes, but the damage is so minimal it is not worth it. A mining-capable Pal like Anubis breaks the nodes many times faster, so bring a proper miner rather than swinging a weapon at the ore.

What is the Soralite Quarry and when do you unlock it?

It is an automation structure in the Ancient Technology branch that produces Soralite without manual mining, unlocked at character Level 72. It still needs a mining-capable Pal assigned to run it - the Quarry does not swing the pickaxe itself - but it removes the need to fly to nodes.

What do you craft with Soralite Ingots?

Most of the new 1.0 weapons - the Mechanical Bow, Combat SMG, Prototype Shotgun, Heavy Assault Rifle, Tactical Grenade Launcher, Laser Sword, and Enhanced Lily's Spear - plus the Ancient armor set. Soralite Ingots also feed Paloxite Ingots (1 Soralite per ingot), so they matter even for the top energy weapons.

How much Soralite do you need?

Less than the grind suggests - only a small amount per Ingot, and just one Soralite per Paloxite Ingot. A modest stockpile covers a lot of crafting, so farm toward your specific gear goals rather than endlessly. Combining mining with chest-sweeping and Pal drops fills your supply quickly.
