Mythic +0 Without Timers or Affixes

A Mythic +0 dungeon is the same layout, the same bosses and the same loot table as a keystone run, with the two things that make keys stressful stripped out. There is no timer, so a slow pull or a wipe costs you time and nothing else. There are no affixes, so nothing is chasing you, exploding under you or healing the pack you just brought down. And there is no keystone in the first place, which means there is nothing to deplete if the run goes sideways.

That changes who Mythic +0 is for. If you are gearing a fresh alt, coming back to the game mid-season, or learning a new specialization, a +0 lets you see every pull properly instead of sprinting past it. If you are an experienced player, it is simply the fastest way to convert an evening into Champion-track gear without needing a group that can hold a timer.

It is also the gate to everything above it. Running the roster on +0 teaches you the routes and the boss mechanics on a difficulty where mistakes are cheap, which is exactly what makes your first timed keys go smoothly.

Item Level 292 and Your Champion Track Start

End-of-dungeon loot from Mythic +0 arrives at item level 292, which is the opening step of the Champion upgrade track. That single fact is what makes +0 worth running even for players who could clear far harder content: it is the cheapest entry point into Champion gear in Season 2, and Champion gear is what carries you through the early keystone ladder.

Every +0 completion also awards Champion Mistcrests. Mistcrests are the Season 2 upgrade currency, and the Champion tier is the one that moves your Champion-track pieces up their ladder. Because Mistcrests come from the run itself rather than from the loot roll, they accumulate whether or not a boss drops something for you - which means a run that feels unlucky is still measurable progress.

The practical result is that a full sweep of the roster tends to move several slots at once: the drops themselves fill empty slots, and the crests upgrade the pieces you already had. Season 2 item levels and upgrade costs are set at patch launch, so treat the numbers above as the launch values for the season.

Filling the Great Vault with Mythic +0 Runs

The Great Vault is the weekly chest that opens at reset, and its dungeon row is the one Mythic +0 feeds. That row has three reward slots, and they unlock on a simple count of completed dungeons across the week: one dungeon opens the first slot, four dungeons open the second, and eight dungeons open the third. Heroic, Mythic and Timewalking runs all count toward the same total.

This is why the eight-dungeon roster matters so much. Clearing the roster once in a week is exactly the number that unlocks all three dungeon picks, which gives you the widest choice when the Vault opens.

One detail that catches people out: the Vault gives you a choice of rewards, but you claim only a single item per week from the whole chest. Unlocking all three dungeon slots does not give you three items - it gives you three options and one pick. That still matters, because more options means a much better chance that one of them lands in a slot you actually need.

The Daily Lockout and How to Plan Your Week

Mythic +0 dungeons run on a daily lockout. Each dungeon can be completed once per day for loot, and the lock is per dungeon rather than across the whole roster. That has two practical consequences worth planning around.

The first is good news: because the lockout is per dungeon, you can run all eight dungeons back to back in a single session and be credited for every one of them. There is no need to spread a full clear across the week. If you want the whole roster and all three Vault slots in one evening, that is entirely possible.

The second is the limitation. If you are chasing one specific item from one specific dungeon, +0 gives you a single attempt per day at it. That is fine for gearing, where you want breadth across slots, but it is slow for targeted farming. Season 2 Dungeon Roster and Mount Drops

Season 2 runs an eight-dungeon roster: five new Midnight dungeons and three returning from earlier expansions. All eight are available at Mythic +0, and all eight count toward your Great Vault total.

The Season 2 Roster

Two of these dungeons carry mount drops. Altar of Fangs can drop The Writhing Brood, and Kings' Rest can drop the Mummified Raptor Skull. Both are available from Mythic +0 as well as from keystone runs, so a +0 clear is a legitimate roll at either.

If a mount is your actual goal rather than a bonus, be realistic about the maths. The daily lockout means +0 gives you one attempt per dungeon per day, and mount drops are rare. Repeated attempts are far more practical inside keystone runs, which is why we treat mounts as an upside on a +0 order rather than the reason to place one. From Mythic +0 to Your First Keystone

Mythic +0 is a stepping stone by design, and the step it leads to is your first timed key. Once your gear is sitting on the Champion track and you know the routes, keystone runs stop being intimidating and start being the obvious next source of upgrades.

The jump is smaller than it looks. The dungeons are identical - same bosses, same trash, same routes you just learned. What changes is that a timer starts, affixes are added on top, and the loot scales up with the key level. Everything you built on +0 transfers directly.

If you want to keep the same team and keep climbing, the natural next steps are a custom keystone run at the level you choose, or a Mythic +10 carry once your gear can support it. Both use the same booking flow and the same delivery options as this order.
