Mythic+ score holds one result per seasonal dungeon, so a new key only counts for the amount it beats the old one by. At +0 or +10 that detail is academic, because most dungeons are blank and every run pays close to full value. At +20 it is the whole purchase.

What a Timed +20 Adds, Case by Case

Read the bottom two rows carefully, because they are where money gets wasted. A character that already swept the season at +15 is sitting near 410 in every dungeon, so each +20 on top of that is worth the remainder rather than the headline number. That is still a real gain and eight of them still move a seasonal total meaningfully - but it is a different purchase from a character with four blank dungeons, and it should be planned differently.

The practical upshot is that a +20 is at its most valuable on the dungeons you have been avoiding. The one you keep skipping because the last pull goes badly is, arithmetically, the best place to spend a key at this level. The dungeon you are comfortable in is the worst, because you have probably already scored it well.

Choosing Which Dungeon to Send a +20 Into

There are three ways to land on a dungeon for a high key, and only one of them is right. The common choice is the dungeon you know best, which feels safe and is almost always the one already carrying your best score. The second is to leave the order on random and let it fall where it falls, which is a default rather than a decision. The third - the correct one - is the dungeon holding your lowest result in the season.

Sort your seasonal dungeons by the score sitting on each one and work upward from the bottom. Every key sent to the weakest dungeon pays close to its full value; the same key sent to your strongest pays the difference and nothing else. Two characters can buy the identical run on the same day and see completely different movement on their totals for exactly this reason.

There is a second filter worth applying underneath the first. If two dungeons are scored similarly, take the one you have no teleport for, since timing a key awards that dungeon's Keystone Hero achievement and the teleport that comes with it. Score is the primary sort; unlocked destinations are a sensible tie-break.

The keystone is ours in every case, so none of this turns on what you are carrying. What it does turn on is the dungeon setting on the order. Left on random, the key goes to whichever dungeon the booster running it holds - a fulfilment default, not a choice made against your score, which means it can land on a dungeon you have already timed at this level and move your total by almost nothing. Named, it goes exactly where your own numbers say it should - which on a character with half a season behind it is the difference between a run worth its full value and a run worth the leftovers.

Where a Full Sweep of +20 Keys Lands Your Rating

Season 2 runs eight dungeons and your score keeps one result on each, so eight timed +20 keys is the most this product can be worth on a single character. Orders start at one key and the count is yours to set, which makes eight a ceiling to measure against rather than a package you buy into. On an account with nothing scored, that arithmetic lands somewhere near 3880. Keystone Legend is the 3000 rung, with Hero at 2500 and Master at 2000 underneath it, so a sweep of this size clears all three and keeps going. That is the honest ceiling figure, and it comes with two caveats that matter more than the number does.

The first is the one this page keeps returning to: almost nobody sweeps from blank at this level. A character arriving here with a season of timed keys behind it gains the difference on each dungeon, not the full 485, so the realistic total after eight +20 runs sits below the ceiling and above wherever the account started. The second is that 485 is the Season 2 expectation for this key level rather than a value carved into a table, which is why every figure on this page is written as around and not as exactly.

What the ceiling is genuinely useful for is deciding whether you need this product at all. If your target sits comfortably under 3000 and your dungeons are patchy, lower key levels spread across the gaps will get you there with less run time. If your target is above what a +15 sweep produces, or you are already sitting on one, this bracket is where the remaining rating lives.

A +15 group can lose a pull, recover, and still beat the clock. At +20 the same mistake usually ends the run, because there is no slack left in the schedule to absorb it.

That changes what the group has to be good at rather than how good the individuals are. Knowing the route stops being enough - the route has to be trimmed to the specific composition in the party, with pull sizes matched to the cooldowns that are actually available on that rotation. Interrupts get assigned per pull rather than called out as they happen. Defensives are planned against known damage events instead of pressed in reaction to them.

It also changes what a failure costs. At lower brackets a run that goes wrong is an hour and a key level. Here it is an hour, a key level, and no rating at all for the evening, because Mythic+ rating is paid only on a completion inside the time limit. That asymmetry is the whole reason a fixed roster exists for this bracket instead of a rotating pool.

This is also why the product has no untimed variant. An over-time +20 leaves you with a cleared dungeon, a Vault slot, crests, a keystone one level lower, and precisely zero of the thing you bought. How a Multi-Key +20 Order Gets Scheduled

Mythic+ has no daily lockout, so nothing in the game stops you running them back to back, but a long stack at this level is a long stretch of concentration for everyone in the party, including you if the run is Self-Play.

Multi-key orders get booked as a series of slots rather than one appointment. Your manager confirms the details after checkout and blocks out session times that fit your schedule, working through the dungeons you named or, on random keys, the ones we pick. Nothing is run without a slot agreed first, so there is no waiting around for a group to materialise.

Spreading a sweep across two reset weeks has a side benefit worth knowing about. The Great Vault counts the dungeons you completed inside that week, so keys split across two weeks fill two Vaults instead of stacking extra completions into one that is already full. Mythic +20 Keys or a Rating Target: Which to Buy

These are two different products solving two different problems, and buying the wrong one is the most expensive mistake available on this part of the catalogue. This page sells key levels: you get timed +20 runs in the dungeons you choose, and whatever rating those runs are worth on your account is what you get. A rating boost sells the number itself, quoted against the score your character holds on the day you order.

Buy key levels when the run is the point - you want +20s specifically, you want particular dungeons scored, you want the teleports, or you want the keystone in your bag to go up rather than down. Buy a rating target when a milestone is the point and you do not care how the group gets there. If your goal is a named seasonal tier, that is a rating target, not a key level.

Those tiers accumulate instead of overwriting one another, so clearing the top rung leaves the ones under it already sitting on the account with nothing left to circle back for. That is an argument for buying the highest thing you actually want rather than assembling it from the bottom - and another reason to treat a milestone as a target rather than a count of keys.
